The haunted city of Savannah!

Tom's parents came to visit us at the first of June and we drove down to Savannah, GA. We had a great time checking out this charming city and strolling through the quaint shops on the river. We had a great dinner at the Pirate House, an old pirate hangout and the inspiration for the Admiral Benbow Inn at the beginning of Treasure Island. In fact, Robert Lewis Stevenson used to live in Savannah. Legend has it that unsuspecting and drunk patrons were waylaid there and smuggled aboard the pirate ships to become reluctant crewmembers. Captain Flint, the most ferocious pirate to sail the seven seas, is said to have died in the upstairs room of the Pirate House and his ghost is known to walk the rooms! The Pirate House is the oldest standing house in Georgia and the employees there vigorously claim that it is haunted. As dad mentioned, the only scary thing that we saw was the bill.

We decided to take advantage of being in one of America's most haunted cities by taking a night-time ghost tour in the back of a hearse! We toured the city and cementaries and had a fun time trying to capture "ghosts" and other spooky aspirations on our digital cameras. Check out the "orbs" in one of the photos!

Everyone looks so cute. Where are Katie's pants? They are out drying in the heat! She feel asleep in the car on the way there and had a little accident.

Kristin would have liked this trip!

We took advantage of Grandpa's talent and built this computer desk in a couple of days. It is soo nice!! Now We have a real place for the computer and I want to do the bills up her too. I'll add a completed picture when Tom puts them onto the computer from the camera.
